1

اَلۡقَارِعَةُ ۙ

English Translation
The Striking Calamity -
2

مَا الۡقَارِعَةُ​ ۚ

English Translation
What is the Striking Calamity?
3

وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا الۡقَارِعَةُ ؕ

English Translation
And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?
4

يَوۡمَ يَكُوۡنُ النَّاسُ كَالۡفَرَاشِ الۡمَبۡثُوۡثِۙ

English Translation
It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,
5

وَتَكُوۡنُ الۡجِبَالُ كَالۡعِهۡنِ الۡمَنۡفُوۡشِؕ

English Translation
And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.
6

فَاَمَّا مَنۡ ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَازِيۡنُهٗ ۙ

English Translation
Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],
7

فَهُوَ فِىۡ عِيۡشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ ؕ

English Translation
He will be in a pleasant life.
8

وَاَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَازِيۡنُهٗ ۙ

English Translation
But as for one whose scales are light,
9

فَاُمُّهٗ هَاوِيَةٌ ؕ

English Translation
His refuge will be an abyss.
10

وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا هِيَهۡ ؕ

English Translation
And what can make you know what that is?
11

نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌ ۧ

English Translation
It is a Fire, intensely hot.
